The young attacking player from Novi Pazar has mostly remained on the sidelines, watching matches from the bench, while Leipzig’s staff carefully analyze every aspect of his professional profile. One detail, however, reportedly raised particular concern — the condition of his dental health.
According to his agent, Zoran Stojadinović, Leipzig officials expressed clear dissatisfaction with how that aspect was handled during Maksimović’s time at Red Star. The Bundesliga club is known for extremely strict standards and believes that neglected oral health can have indirect consequences for overall fitness and long-term physical readiness.
As a result, Maksimović has already been included in specific treatments aimed at resolving the issue permanently. At the same time, the club is working on his physical development. Upon arrival in Leipzig, he weighed just 65 kilograms, while the coaching and medical staff consider 75 kilograms to be his ideal playing weight. He is currently up to 71 kilograms, with noticeable gains in muscle mass.
Leipzig sources indicate that December could bring increased opportunities for the Serbian youngster — provided that all off-field and physical benchmarks are fully met. At RB Leipzig, shortcuts do not exist, but patience and progress can still open doors.
