Sevilla's internal shake-up has paused transfer plans for TSC midfielder Petar Stanić, while reports linking him to Red Star appear premature.

Sevilla's interest in TSC Bačka Topola midfielder Petar Stanić has been put on hold following a major shake-up at the Spanish club. The La Liga side, who narrowly avoided relegation last season, recently replaced sporting director Víctor Orta with Antonio Cordón, resetting all transfer priorities.

Stanić had emerged as a serious target for the Andalusian club prior to the change, and Spanish outlets reported that a €2.5 million transfer fee was being considered. However, with the new sporting leadership, the deal is now uncertain and will require fresh discussions if it is to be revived.

The 22-year-old midfielder, formerly of Red Star Belgrade, had also been mentioned as a possible signing for the MLS side Vancouver Whitecaps, but that transfer also fell through.

Despite speculation about a return to Red Star, current reports suggest that no such move is imminent. For now, Stanić remains at TSC, where he has impressed with 12 goals and 7 assists in 47 appearances.

His form has not gone unnoticed, but Sevilla's squad overhaul and internal reset mean his next step remains unclear.
