Konstantinos Koulierakis appears to be on the brink of a transfer to the German Bundesliga, with Eintracht Frankfurt and Wolfsburg vying for his signature.
The 20-year-old center-back has made 72 appearances for Greek champions PAOK and has impressed with nine goals and four assists from his defensive position.
Last season, Koulierakis and his teammates clinched the Greek Super League title, and he made his senior debut for the national team in 2022.
PAOK is hoping to secure at least 15 million euros from his sale, which would set a new club record. The current record is the sale of 19-year-old winger Christos Tzolis to Norwich for 11 million euros in 2021. Tzolis moved to Brugge this year for 6 million euros.
Koulierakis has long been linked with a move to a stronger league, and there were recent rumors of interest from Italian giants AC Milan. However, the Rossoneri recently strengthened their squad with Serbian defender Strahinja Pavlović from RB Salzburg, making a move to Germany for the 2003-born defender increasingly likely.
The new season in the Greek Super League has yet to begin, but Koulierakis has already featured in the UEFA Conference League qualifiers, making a strong impression.
