Borussia Dortmund received over 300,000 ticket requests for their Champions League quarter-final against Barcelona—nearly four times the capacity of Signal Iduna Park.

Borussia Dortmund are facing extraordinary demand ahead of their Champions League quarter-final first leg against Barcelona, with more than 300,000 fans requesting tickets for the highly anticipated clash.

The match, set for April 15 at Dortmund’s iconic Signal Iduna Park, will be played in front of a full house—as always—but that won’t come close to satisfying the overwhelming interest in watching one of Europe’s most exciting sides.

The stadium, also known as Westfalenstadion, has a capacity of 81,365 spectators, meaning the demand is nearly four times higher than what the venue can accommodate.

Dortmund are known for having one of the most loyal and passionate fanbases in world football, regularly selling out home games regardless of form or opponent. But the visit of Barcelona, currently enjoying a stellar run in 2025, has sent demand soaring to new heights.

Due to the exceptional volume of ticket requests, the club has announced that a random draw will be conducted to allocate the available tickets to lucky fans.
