This year, the Italian giant has set its sights on a skillful and highly talented midfielder who hasn't had many opportunities to prove himself in London.
Carney Chukwuemeka left Aston Villa in the summer of 2020 and joined Chelsea. The London club paid a base fee of 20 million euros to bring him into their ranks, but in the 2023/24 season, the 20-year-old didn't get much playing time. The Austria-born midfielder made 24 appearances, scoring four goals and providing two assists, but he mostly collected scraps.
The youngster spent only 508 minutes on the pitch. Therefore, he might transfer again this year, with Italian club AC Milan showing interest.
The Rossoneri recently signed Christian Pulisic and Ruben Loftus-Cheek from Chelsea, who quickly proved to be quality additions to the Serie A giants. They will also start the new season with a new coach, as Paulo Fonseca has taken over the role.
AC Milan is also currently very interested in Youssouf Fofana, a valued French international who plays for Monaco.
