AC Milan is interested in signing Darwin Núñez from Liverpool as the club looks to strengthen its attack, with the striker’s future at Anfield uncertain.

AC Milan has expressed interest in signing Darwin Núñez from Liverpool as the Italian giants look to strengthen their attack ahead of next season. With the potential departure of Tammy Abraham on the horizon, the Rossoneri view the Uruguayan forward as an ideal reinforcement.

Since his €75 million move from Benfica to Liverpool in 2022, the 25-year-old striker has struggled to establish himself as an undisputed starter at Anfield. Despite scoring twice against Liverpool in the Champions League during his time with Benfica, Núñez’s performances in the Premier League have been inconsistent. In the current 2024/25 season, he has managed only four goals and three assists in 23 appearances, raising questions about his long-term future under manager Arne Slot.

During the winter transfer window, Al-Hilal reportedly made an offer for the striker, which Liverpool nearly accepted before ultimately deciding to keep him. However, with Núñez’s contract running until 2028, the Reds are open to selling him if the right offer arrives this summer.

AC Milan is closely monitoring the situation, hoping that Núñez’s price tag will decrease by the end of the season. The club sees the striker as a key addition to bolster their attacking options as they aim to return to the summit of Serie A and compete in European competitions next season.
