Vladimir Ivić takes charge of AFC Champions League winners Al Ain, signing an 18-month contract worth €4M. The Serbian coach brings a strong backroom staff with him.
Vladimir Ivić has been confirmed as the new head coach of Al Ain, the reigning AFC Champions League winners. After weeks of speculation over whether he would take over Al Ain or Al Ahli, the Serbian manager has officially signed an 18-month contract, which will see him earn €4 million during his tenure.
Al Ain had a remarkable campaign last season, clinching the Asian title by eliminating Al Nassr, followed by a stunning victory over Al Hilal, featuring Aleksandar Mitrović and Sergej Milinković-Savić, before sealing the trophy in the final against Yokohama F. Marinos.
Ivić will bring his trusted assistant Miloš Veselinović, along with Italian coach Matteo Lombardo and Greek specialists Nikolaos Amanatidis and Christos Kelpekis, as part of his backroom staff.
