Aleksandar Mitrović shares an emotional farewell to Neymar, who has left Al Hilal to return to Santos. The Serbian striker wishes him success in his next chapter.
Aleksandar Mitrović has sent a heartfelt message to Neymar, who has officially left Al Hilal to return to his boyhood club, Santos. The Brazilian star struggled with injuries, making only seven appearances in his short stint in Saudi Arabia.
Mitrović, who developed a close bond with Neymar during their time together, took to social media to express his admiration and support for his departing teammate.
"My brother Neymar, it was a pleasure to share the pitch and great moments with you at Al Hilal. Wishing you nothing but success and happiness in this new chapter. Stay great, my friend," wrote Mitrović, adding a picture of the two alongside blue and white heart emojis.
Neymar quickly responded with a brief but warm message:
"Thank you, brother," followed by a heart emoji.
While Neymar’s Saudi adventure didn’t go as planned, his return to Brazil is expected to be one of the biggest stories in South American football this year.
