Arsenal shifts focus to Newcastle’s Alexander Isak as they search for attacking reinforcements, following their unsuccessful pursuit of Benjamin Šeško last summer. Isak’s contract poses a major challenge.
Arsenal is actively searching for attacking reinforcements and has turned its attention to Alexander Isak, one of the Premier League's rising stars. After failing to secure Benjamin Šeško during the summer transfer window—when the Slovenian forward renewed his contract with Leipzig—Arsenal’s manager Mikel Arteta and his team are now reportedly monitoring Isak closely.
According to Sky Sports, Arsenal has begun more intensive scouting of the Newcastle United striker, although a deal for the 25-year-old Swede may prove even more challenging. Isak is contracted to Newcastle until 2028, making a potential transfer highly complex.
This season, Isak has impressed for Newcastle, featuring in 11 matches, scoring five goals, and providing two assists. Before his move to Newcastle, Isak showcased his talent at Real Sociedad and Borussia Dortmund, further establishing himself as a top-tier forward.
While Arsenal remains determined to bolster its attack, the acquisition of Isak would represent a significant challenge, especially given Newcastle's ambitions and Isak's integral role in their plans.
