Alexis Mac Allister, the Liverpool midfielder and 2022 World Cup winner, is reportedly being sued by his ex-girlfriend Camila Mayan following their split shortly after Argentina’s triumph in Qatar.
Mayan, who joined Mac Allister for post-match celebrations on the pitch, has filed a lawsuit seeking financial compensation for the years they lived together outside Argentina. She has also accused him of keeping belongings and being unfaithful with his current partner, childhood friend Ailen Cova.
Responding to the accusations, Mac Allister said, "There was no more relationship. She took her path, I took mine, and that’s it. As for the other thing, everything is in court where it should be, and we are waiting." He added, "She made the decision to make things public, but I know how things went, and that’s why I’m very calm."
Mac Allister now says he is "happy" and "enjoying life" with Cova, as they plan their future in England. The court will determine any financial compensation owed to Mayan, bringing the dispute to a resolution.
