Alexis Mac Allister faces a lawsuit from ex-girlfriend Camila Mayan, seeking compensation for years abroad together and alleging infidelity. The case stems from their breakup after the 2022 World Cup.
Liverpool midfielder Alexis Mac Allister finds himself embroiled in a legal battle as his ex-girlfriend, Camila Mayan, files a lawsuit seeking compensation for their time living abroad during their five-year relationship.
The lawsuit surfaced shortly after the Argentine star celebrated winning the 2022 World Cup and completing his £42 million transfer from Brighton to Liverpool. Mac Allister, now a vital part of Liverpool's midfield, spoke publicly about the case, saying: "There was no more relationship. She went her own way, I went mine, and that's it. As for this other thing (the lawsuit), it's all in court, where it should be, and I'm waiting."
Mayan alleges she sacrificed parts of her life to be with Mac Allister abroad and is demanding monetary compensation. Additionally, she accuses him of infidelity with his current partner, Ailén Cova, and claims he retained her belongings post-breakup. Mac Allister dismissed the accusations, expressing confidence in his position: "I know how things went, and that's why I'm very calm."
The controversy deepened as Cova, Mac Allister's current girlfriend, was revealed to have been Mayan’s best friend. Despite the allegations, Mac Allister shared his happiness with Cova, stating: "We're fine, happy, building our life in England, enjoying our life together."
Ignacio Trimarco, Mayan’s lawyer, shed light on the lawsuit: "The mediation process has been completed, but there has been no agreement. The case began more than a year and a half ago. What she is seeking is confidential, like any family case, and that is monetary compensation."
Trimarco emphasized the legal basis of Mayan's claim, citing a law designed to protect the weaker party in relationships that lacked formal marriage: "This law applies to all couples, whether they are with an idol like a world champion or a businessman working abroad."
Mayan, an influencer with over 740,000 Instagram followers and 900,000 TikTok fans, continues to captivate audiences with her daily life and beauty content. While the case unfolds, Mac Allister remains focused on his football career, though the off-pitch drama has cast a shadow over his success.
