Liverpool midfielder Alexis Mac Allister has won his first Premier League Player of the Month award after a standout April with two goals and an assist in five matches.
Alexis Mac Allister has been named the Premier League Player of the Month for April, becoming the latest Liverpool star to receive the honour and the first Argentine to win it since Sergio Agüero.
The 25-year-old midfielder played a key role in Liverpool’s April campaign, scoring two goals and providing one assist in five league matches. It’s the first time in his career that Mac Allister has claimed the award.
At Liverpool, monthly awards typically go to Mohamed Salah or occasionally to the likes of Virgil van Dijk, Luis Diaz, or Trent Alexander-Arnold. But this time, it was Mac Allister’s consistency and creativity that stood out.
He is now the fourth Argentine to win the award in Premier League history. Sergio Agüero holds the record with seven, while Juan Sebastián Verón and Carlos Tevez each earned the award once.
