Ali Reghba joins Maribor from Rabotnički, signing a contract until 2027. The Algerian-Irish winger is eager for a new challenge in Slovenia’s biggest club.
Ali Reghba has officially joined Maribor, signing a contract until 2027. The former Rabotnički winger, who finished as the third top scorer in the Macedonian league, arrives as a reinforcement for the left flank.
"Moving to Maribor is an exciting chapter in my life, and I’m very happy to be here. When I heard about Maribor’s interest, I had no doubts. I know I’m joining a club with a rich history, but also a team that competes for big things and fights for trophies. This is an important step in my career, and I can’t wait for the new challenge," Reghba said upon his arrival.
The 24-year-old was convinced by the club’s project and watched Maribor’s recent match against Domžale to get a first impression of his new team.
"Watching the team in action only confirmed that I’m joining a side that plays attacking football, dominates possession, and controls the game. As a direct player who likes to create chances, I believe I can fit in well. I like getting into dangerous positions and helping my team with goals and assists."
Reghba, who has played in Ireland, England, Algeria, and North Macedonia, believes his past experiences will help him adapt quickly.
"I’ve learned to adjust to new environments, and I hope I can do so quickly in Maribor. I believe our journey together will be very successful."
