He had just arrived, and now he's sidelined. Alvaro Morata is out of action.
Alvaro Morata wasn't in optimal condition, slightly carrying a knock, but he still made his debut for AC Milan in the first match of the new Serie A season. The former Juventus, Chelsea, and Real Madrid player came on in the second half and even scored a goal, but it came at a cost.
The Spanish striker, who joined AC Milan this summer from Atletico Madrid for a transfer fee of €13 million, suffered an injury. His muscle took the hit, meaning the experienced forward will now have to take a forced break.
As expected, Alvaro Morata will be out for two to three weeks, depending on the speed of his recovery.
AC Milan will play their next match against Parma, followed by an end-of-month away game against Lazio.
