Alexandra Ali Riley, a renowned footballer with an illustrious career spanning clubs like Chelsea, Rosengård, and Bayern Munich, has shared heartbreaking news that her Los Angeles home was burned to the ground in a devastating wildfire.

Riley, who has made over 160 appearances for New Zealand—her father’s homeland—was born and raised in Los Angeles, where the destroyed house held many cherished memories.

"Our entire neighborhood is gone. Thankfully, we’re all safe. I’m clinging to that as we figure out what’s next. I keep looking to grasp that this is real. I was there Monday night, having dinner with my parents and watching the sunset. Now, it’s all gone forever. This ruin was our home," she shared, alongside a chilling aerial photo of the destroyed neighborhood.

The wildfires in Los Angeles have already claimed at least five lives, while over 137,000 residents have been evacuated.

Riley currently plays for Angel City FC, based in her hometown of Los Angeles. The club boasts high-profile owners, including Venus Williams, Billie Jean King, and actress Natalie Portman.
