Anna Lewandowska suggested the current season is likely her husband’s last at Barcelona, signalling the end of Robert Lewandowski’s spell in Catalonia.
Robert Lewandowski appears to be approaching the end of his time at Barcelona, following revealing comments from his wife Anna Lewandowska.
Speaking to Polish outlet Plejada, Anna indicated that the family expect the current campaign to be Lewandowski’s final season in a Barcelona shirt.
“We will see how the season unfolds in Barcelona, because this will most likely be my husband’s last season here,” she said.
“That’s why we try to enjoy every moment, every match and every contact with the fans, because we know that one day this will no longer be the case.”
Her words quickly sparked speculation in both Spain and Poland about the future of one of the most prolific strikers of his generation.
Lewandowski joined Barcelona in the summer of 2022 and immediately became a central figure in the team. While his role has slightly evolved this season, he remains a key part of the squad.
The Polish striker has scored 12 goals in 25 appearances across all competitions. His reduced output compared to previous seasons also reflects a tactical shift, with head coach Hansi Flick giving increased opportunities to Ferran Torres.
