Kyle Walker’s wife, Annie Kilner, has made a surprising decision to pause divorce proceedings after initially meeting with lawyers last year to discuss the terms of their split.
The couple had been going through a rough patch, with Annie allegedly seeking half of Kyle’s estimated £27 million fortune and the footballer hiring his own legal team to prepare for a possible separation.
However, things have taken a new turn amid rumors of a lucrative deal from Saudi Arabia. The Sheffield-born defender, who is currently 34, is reportedly considering a move to the Saudi Pro League, where he could potentially earn £400,000 per week. One of the interested clubs is Al Nassr, where Cristiano Ronaldo currently serves as captain.
A source close to Annie revealed to The Sun that her decision to pause the divorce isn’t driven by financial motives but by a desire to keep their family together. "Annie is no fool. She sought legal advice about the finances last year and knows that the deal in Saudi is worth a lot," the source said, adding that her primary concern is maintaining stability for their four children: Roman (12), Riaan (8), Reign (6), and Rezon (5 months).
Despite the past turmoil, including Kyle’s infidelity, which was publicly revealed by Lauryn Goodman in December 2022, the couple appeared united over the recent Christmas holidays, posing together with their children. The source added that Annie has been carefully considering her options for some time, saying, "She always puts the children first but has to think about herself too."
Kyle Walker has reportedly assured Annie that she will always be financially secure, regardless of what happens in their marriage. Over the past year, the couple has made efforts to repair their relationship, with Kyle admitting to his mistakes and taking full responsibility for his actions. "I take full responsibility," Walker said after the incident, acknowledging that he made a "horrible mistake."
Although Annie sought advice from fellow WAGs during the difficult period, she appears to have chosen a more cautious approach for now, opting to focus on family unity while Kyle evaluates his career options. Whether Walker decides to make the move to Saudi Arabia or remains in Europe, the couple’s future remains uncertain, but for now, they are prioritizing family over separation.
