After reviving his career at Betis, Manchester United’s Antony has caught the eye of multiple clubs — with Como now joining the race.

Antony is quickly becoming one of the most sought-after Brazilian players on the transfer market, thanks to an impressive second half of the season on loan at Real Betis, which has helped him resurrect a career that was stagnating at Manchester United.

Without that loan spell, it’s unlikely the 25-year-old winger would have had much of a market at all — but now, he has plenty of options. Betis want to keep him, Juventus have shown interest, and this week, Italian side Como have made an approach to sign him too.

Antony, however, is reportedly keen to stay in Seville. The problem for Betis is the price: they can’t afford to buy him outright, while Manchester United are only interested in a permanent sale.

If no club matches United’s valuation, the Red Devils are open to another loan — but this time, they want the receiving club to cover a bigger share of the player’s salary. Betis covered about half of Antony’s weekly wage during the last loan, but with a pay packet of £105,000 per week, that’s a costly burden for many clubs.

Antony joined Manchester United three years ago in what remains the club’s second-most expensive transfer ever, costing around €100 million. In two and a half years at Old Trafford, he managed 62 Premier League appearances and scored five goals before being loaned out to Betis for the second half of last season.
