Lautaro Martínez delivered an emotional interview after scoring Argentina's dramatic winner against England to send the defending champions into another World Cup final.

Lautaro Martínez could not hold back the tears after scoring the goal that sent Argentina into the 2026 FIFA World Cup final, describing the moment as the fulfilment of a lifelong dream.
The Inter striker headed home the winning goal in stoppage time as Argentina came from behind to defeat England 2:1, completing a remarkable comeback in Atlanta.
Speaking moments after the final whistle, Martínez admitted that the emotions were impossible to control.
"It's an incredibly emotional moment. I immediately remembered when my father bought me my first pair of football boots. I've dreamed of scoring a goal like this my whole life. It's impossible to describe this happiness," he said.
The Argentina international dedicated the victory to his family, paying special tribute to his mother.
"My mother has made my bed every time I've come home since I left Racing. That means more to me than this goal or even reaching the final. My sons are here too. They've changed my life and taught me to stop sometimes and enjoy these moments with my family."
Martínez became emotional once again while speaking about his loved ones.
"I can't stop crying. I'm thinking about my wife, my children, and my parents. I just called my mother. She was at work because it's too difficult for her to watch our matches. She prefers working to watching because she suffers too much."
The striker also revealed that he had predicted his decisive goal before kick-off.
"I swear, I dreamed I would score. Before the match, I told Alexis, and later Facundo Medina on the bench. In the end, it really happened."
Martínez believes the momentum shifted once England retreated after taking the lead through Anthony Gordon.
"After they scored, they dropped deeper. That allowed us to take control, stretch the game, and use the space. Enzo scored an incredible goal too. This team keeps proving what it's made of. We're in another World Cup final, and now we have to enjoy this moment."
Argentina will now face Spain in Sunday's final as Lionel Scaloni's side attempts to defend the World Cup title won four years ago.
