Koper’s youth academy continues to produce high-interest prospects. Following the departure of Arman Durmisi to Turin, Juventus is now reportedly tracking 14-year-old striker Aron Vucic as their next major Slovenian project.
In 2024, the Turin-based giant Juventus, which has recently placed significant emphasis on its youth academy (introducing young players to senior football via the Next Gen team in Serie C), found a major talent in Slovenia. Arman Durmisi developed in Koper, and Juventus was the most decisive and concrete among several interested clubs. They took Durmisi to Turin, where the 17-year-old now plays in the Primavera 1 league, scoring nine goals in 20 matches under the guidance of former Juventus player Simone Padoin.
Following this positive experience, Juventus continues to return to Koper. According to our reliable information, they have been closely monitoring Koper’s new top prospect, with club representatives attending several matches. The player in question is a young forward and a member of the Slovenian U15 national team, who is now a serious candidate for a move to the Juventus youth ranks.
Aron Vucic will turn 15 in June, and several prestigious European clubs are interested in him. Juventus aims to leverage its good relationship with Koper and the fact that they have successfully recruited there before. Vucic, who previously played in the youth ranks of Olimpija Ljubljana, could become the next Slovenian football hope in Italy. It should be noted that he will likely only be able to transfer next year when he turns 16.
Vucic honed his skills in futsal
The tall youngster played futsal in Skofije during his earlier years. This season, he has played for both Olimpija and Koper, competing in the U15 and cadet leagues. In ten matches, he has scored an impressive 13 goals.
