Francisco Trincão’s superb season at Sporting has attracted Arsenal’s attention, with the Premier League club ready to double his salary and Barcelona set to benefit from a future sale.
Francisco Trincão (25) has reignited his career at Sporting CP, delivering a standout season that’s caught the eye of several Premier League clubs — most notably Arsenal. According to Portuguese outlet Record, the Gunners have been closely monitoring the Portuguese winger, who has impressed with 9 goals and 16 assists in 50 matches this campaign.
Trincão, once considered a rising star at Barcelona, has found stability and maturity in Lisbon, emerging as a consistent attacking threat on the flanks. Arsenal are reportedly willing to double his current salary of around €3 million net per year to secure his services.
While his €80 million release clause looms large, The Sun reports that Arsenal hope to negotiate a lower fee. This potential deal has added intrigue because Barcelona still retain 50% of Trincão’s future sale rights, meaning any transfer would deliver a significant financial boost to the Catalan club.
With several English clubs already inquiring, Sporting may soon face a summer bidding war for one of their most valuable assets.
