Arsenal beat Atletico Madrid 1-0 in the semi-final second leg, sealing a 2-1 aggregate win and reaching their first Champions League final since 2006.
Arsenal are through to the Champions League final for the first time since 2006 after beating Atletico Madrid in London.
The Gunners secured a 1-0 win in the second leg, which was enough for a 2-1 aggregate victory after the 1-1 draw in Spain.
Atletico Madrid started the match with more energy. Julian Alvarez had two early chances inside the opening 10 minutes, but failed to find the target.
The first half offered few clear chances, with both teams cautious in attack. Still, the decisive moment came just before the break.
In the 45th minute, Bukayo Saka scored after reacting fastest to a rebound. Leandro Trossard forced a save from Jan Oblak, and Saka converted to make it 1-0.
Atletico struggled to respond. They failed to register a shot on target in the first half and lacked sharpness in the final third.
Early in the second half, Giuliano Simeone had a big opportunity after a defensive mistake, but Gabriel recovered and blocked his attempt.
At the other end, Viktor Gyokeres missed a clear chance from a precise cross by Piero Hincapie, sending his effort off target.
As the match entered its final phase, Atletico Madrid could not find a breakthrough. Their last opportunity came in the 86th minute, when Alexander Sorloth failed to convert.
The final whistle confirmed Arsenal’s place in the final, ending the European journey for Jan Oblak and his teammates.
