Arsenal is eyeing Ajax's 22-year-old goalkeeper Diant Ramaj as a potential new signing for the summer transfer window, following Aaron Ramsdale's expected departure.

Arsenal will likely be in the market for a new goalkeeper in the summer transfer window as Aaron Ramsdale, who has been a more than useful keeper, is expected to depart. This season, the starting spot has been claimed by newcomer David Raya. The Londoners are therefore in search of a new backup goalkeeper and have shown interest in Ajax's Diant Ramaj.

The 22-year-old was born in Germany, but his roots trace back to Kosovo. Ramaj began his career at Stuttgart, where he stayed until 2019.

As a free agent, he then moved to Heidenheim, and two years later, Eintracht Frankfurt purchased him, only to sell him last summer to the Amsterdam giant for 5 million euros. The Dutch club made an excellent deal, as Ramaj quickly proved himself in his new surroundings.

Ajax is having a dismal season by their standards, with Ramaj being one of the few highlights. He was instrumental in Ajax's advancement in the European cup in a match against Bodo/Glimt and has so far made 26 appearances this season. His contract is valid until the summer of 2028, so Arsenal will likely have to pay a substantial fee for him.

Ramaj has played for the German national youth teams but has not yet appeared at the senior level, and it's not entirely clear what his plans are.
