Two years after making history as the youngest Premier League debutant, Ethan Nwaneri has reached another milestone by scoring his first league goal for Arsenal.
Ethan Nwaneri, the youngest debutant in Premier League history, continues to write his story. Two years after his sensational debut at just 15 years and 181 days old, the Arsenal prodigy scored his first league goal in a commanding 3-0 win against Nottingham Forest.
Nwaneri’s strike also earned him a place in Arsenal’s history books as the club’s second-youngest Premier League scorer, at 17 years and 247 days. The only player to achieve this milestone at a younger age is Cesc Fabregas, who scored his first league goal for Arsenal at 17 years and 113 days.
The young midfielder has already showcased his potential this season, netting three goals in the EFL Cup. While the competition often lacks prominence among top clubs, Nwaneri’s performances prove its value in nurturing emerging talent.
Manager Mikel Arteta recognized Nwaneri’s potential early on, handing him his debut in September 2022 against Brentford. Since then, the teenager has honed his skills across various Arsenal squads and is now making a mark in the senior team.
With his first Premier League goal, Nwaneri has solidified his status as one of England’s brightest young talents, and Arsenal fans will undoubtedly be eager to see how he develops in the coming years.
