Conor Gallagher has decided to accept Atletico Madrid's offer.
Diego Simeone will get what he wanted. The Atletico Madrid coach has convinced Chelsea player Conor Gallagher, who had previously hesitated about moving to Spain's La Liga and joining Atletico Madrid.
Atletico Madrid will pay around €38 million for Gallagher, who no longer sees a future at Chelsea. The club has accepted the offer, according to BBC reports.
Gallagher spent 18 years at Chelsea! He was offered a two-year contract extension, plus an option for additional work, but was not satisfied with the offer. The dissatisfaction wasn't just financial but also related to his expected role in the team.
Conor Gallagher recently participated in the European Championship in Germany, making five appearances for England.
