Atletico Madrid players starred in a Peaky Blinders-themed Netflix promotion ahead of the Getafe match, with the Metropolitano set to transform into a Shelby-style spectacle.
Atletico Madrid players stepped into the world of Peaky Blinders as part of a special promotion for the upcoming Netflix film Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man.
The Spanish club joined forces with the streaming platform to create a cinematic campaign built around the famous British series set in Birmingham during the early twentieth century.
Several Atletico stars appear in the trailer, including Koke, Jose Gimenez, Antoine Griezmann, Alexander Sorloth, and Ademola Lookman. The players appear dressed in classic Shelby-style clothing, recreating the dark and elegant atmosphere of the popular series.
The short film already appeared on the club's official channels and streaming platforms, where fans quickly reacted to the unusual crossover between football and television.
The collaboration will continue on matchday when Atletico Madrid faces Getafe at the Metropolitano Stadium.
The stadium will transform into a Peaky Blinders-themed stage. The players will arrive in vintage cars, dressed like members of the Shelby gang, creating a dramatic entrance before kick off.
The show will continue during halftime. Organisers prepared a light-and-sound performance inspired by the visual style of the British series.
The transformation will also reach the VIP sections of the stadium. Boxes 18 and 19 will turn into a replica of the famous Garrison Pub, the central meeting place in the series.
Visitors in those areas will step into a setting inspired by early twentieth-century England, turning a football evening in Madrid into a small piece of television history.
