Dušan Vlahović is no longer wanted at Juventus and could be heading to Atlético Madrid, with the Spanish club reportedly in search of a top striker.
Dušan Vlahović appears to be nearing the end of his Juventus journey, with growing signs from Turin indicating that the Serbian international is no longer part of the club’s long-term plans.
Despite the drop in form during the 2025 calendar year—where he has scored just two Serie A goals—Vlahović is still attracting attention across Europe. Offers have reportedly come from the Premier League and even Turkey, where José Mourinho and Fenerbahçe are monitoring his situation.
Now, according to Gazzetta dello Sport, there’s a new and unexpected suitor: Atlético Madrid. The Spanish giants are in the market for a proven goal scorer, and Vlahović’s profile fits what Diego Simeone is looking for—a physically dominant striker who can lead the line and offer clinical finishing in tight matches.
Vlahović has two years left on his contract with Juventus, which expires in 2026, but the club is keen to cash in this summer to avoid losing him for less later on. The striker earns a reported €12 million per season, and Juventus had been pushing for a contract extension on reduced terms—a proposal Vlahović declined, opening the door for a summer exit.
In total, the 24-year-old has scored 14 goals in 39 appearances this season across all competitions. However, his form has cooled significantly in 2025, sparking doubts over his future under the current management.
Negotiations between Juventus and Atlético could begin soon, but it remains to be seen whether Los Colchoneros are willing to meet Juve’s asking price and cover Vlahović’s high wages.
For Vlahović, this summer represents a chance to revive his career in a system potentially more suited to his playing style—and a fresh start in La Liga could be just what he needs.
