Greek giant Panathinaikos has made it clear during the summer transfer window that they are aiming to reach the top of Greek football.
Panathinaikos has officially confirmed the arrival of another high-profile signing, further demonstrating the club’s ambition.
The latest addition to Greece's most “Slovenian” club is Moroccan international Azzedine Ounahi, who impressed the world with his performances at the World Cup in Qatar. Ounahi is joining Panathinaikos on loan from Marseille for the current season.
This summer, Panathinaikos has significantly strengthened its squad. In addition to Ounahi, the team has brought in Brazilian Tete, Uruguayan Facundo Pellistri, Icelandic defender Sverrir Ingason, Polish goalkeeper Bartłomiej Drągowski, German Philipp Max, Serbian Nemanja Maksimović, and Greek international George Baldock.
The value of Panathinaikos' squad now stands at €106 million, making it the most expensive team in Greece. Following closely are Olympiacos and AEK, each valued at €92 million.
