Mounir Nasraoui, the father of Lamine Yamal, Barcelona's rising star and current European champion with Spain, was stabbed in a parking lot in the Spanish city of Mataró.
Nasraoui was quickly transported to the hospital, but according to initial reports, he was soon sent home to recover. The police have taken over the case and have managed to locate several witnesses to the incident. It is speculated that Nasraoui was involved in some sort of altercation.
As a reminder, Yamal's father, Mounir, is of Moroccan descent, while his mother is from Equatorial Guinea. Lamine Yamal proudly displays his heritage by wearing football boots featuring the flags of these African nations while playing for Spain. Currently, Yamal is considered one of the top young footballers in the world, with a market value of 120 million euros according to Transfermarkt. He has scored 14 goals and provided three assists for the Spanish national team.
