Esmir Bajraktarević impressed in his first full 90-minute appearance for PSV, registering an assist and earning a 7.7 Sofascore rating in a dominant win over Volendam.
Esmir Bajraktarević will remember this weekend for a long time. The Bosnia and Herzegovina international played all 90 minutes for PSV Eindhoven for the first time in his career — and marked the occasion with a superb performance.
The 18-year-old winger started in PSV’s 3–0 win over Volendam, delivering an assist and earning a 7.7 rating from Sofascore, one of the highest in the team. His form has been steadily improving in recent weeks, and this was his most complete showing of the season.
Bajraktarević now has two goals and two assists in the Eredivisie campaign, but beyond numbers, his influence on the pitch stood out. Across the 90 minutes, he recorded three key passes, attempted five crosses, and completed 88% of his passes — including 76% accuracy in the opposition half. He also won four ground duels and recovered possession three times.
Several moments of individual skill ignited the crowd inside the Philips Stadion, reinforcing the impression that the young winger is growing rapidly under PSV’s coaching staff. His confident display is likely to earn him more minutes as the season progresses.
Among the spectators in Eindhoven was Sergej Barbarez, the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team coach, who travelled specifically to watch Bajraktarević in what turned out to be his first full competitive match for PSV this season.
