Barcelona officially secured the 2025/26 La Liga title after defeating Real Madrid at Camp Nou in the final El Clásico of the season.
Barcelona are champions of Spain once again.
The Catalans officially secured their 29th La Liga title after defeating fierce rivals Real Madrid in a dramatic El Clasico at the Camp Nou.
Coach Hansi Flick and his players confirmed the championship in the sweetest possible way, by beating the biggest rival in front of their own supporters.
Barcelona entered the match in excellent form despite the absence of young superstar Lamine Yamal.
Real Madrid, meanwhile, arrived in Catalonia surrounded by chaos.
The Madrid club has endured turbulent weeks both on and off the pitch, with dressing room tensions, poor results and uncertainty around the future continuing to dominate headlines.
Even so, the visitors created the first dangerous moment of the evening.
Vinicius Junior found space early on after a dangerous attack, but his finish lacked precision.
Barcelona punished the missed opportunity quickly.
In the ninth minute, Marcus Rashford produced a stunning free kick that left Thibaut Courtois completely helpless.
The Camp Nou erupted.
Only nine minutes later, Barcelona struck again.
The Catalans produced a beautiful attacking combination finished by Ferran Torres, while Dani Olmo delighted supporters with a stylish backheel assist.
At 2:0, Real Madrid suddenly looked overwhelmed.
The visitors still created several promising attacks before halftime but once again lacked efficiency in front of goal.
Tensions also started growing between the players.
Raul Asencio and Dani Olmo were both booked after an early confrontation, while several strong tackles increased the intensity of the derby.
Barcelona pushed for a third goal during periods of dominance, but Real Madrid survived and later attempted to fight back.
Still, the visitors never truly found the breakthrough they desperately needed.
Another heated moment arrived in the 80th minute when Trent Alexander-Arnold clashed with Raphinha.
By then, however, the title was already slipping away from Madrid.
When the final whistle arrived, Barcelona supporters exploded in celebration.
Hansi Flick has now delivered another league crown to the Catalan giants and strengthened his growing legacy at the club.
For Real Madrid, meanwhile, the painful season ends with more questions than answers.
