Barcelona's footballers continued their dominance this season in Spain's La Liga with a convincing 5-1 victory over Sevilla in front of their home fans in the 10th round. This is Barcelona’s ninth win, which again puts them three points clear of second-placed Real Madrid at the top of the table. Sevilla has slipped to 13th place.

The uncertainty disappeared after the first half, as Barcelona went into the break with a 3-0 lead. Robert Lewandowski scored twice, one from the penalty spot, while Pedri added another. The second half remained calm for a long time until three more goals were scored near the end. Pablo Torre scored twice for Barcelona, and Idumbo netted a consolation goal for the visitors. Getafe now holds the record for most draws in La Liga this season, with six. With the point, Villarreal moved up to fourth in the standings.

Atletico Madrid secured their fifth win of the season, beating Leganes 3-1 at home. Atletico struggled to victory, as they trailed until the last 20 minutes. The first goal of the match came from Neyou in the 34th minute. However, Atletico managed to secure all three points.
