Replacing Robert Lewandowski is becoming one of the club’s biggest priorities, and while one name remains at the top of the list, another elite striker has now entered the conversation.
According to reports from Spain, Victor Osimhen has been offered to the La Liga champions as they evaluate long-term solutions in attack.
Julian Alvarez remains the dream target
Barcelona’s preferred option remains Julian Alvarez.
The Atletico Madrid forward continues attracting serious interest from the Catalan giants, who reportedly want to wait and see how his situation develops before moving aggressively.
Any possible departure from Atletico would create major movement across the striker market.
Ironically, if Alvarez leaves Madrid, Atletico themselves would need a replacement number nine.
Osimhen waiting in the background
While Barcelona monitor Alvarez, Victor Osimhen remains one of the strongest alternative options available.
The Nigerian striker has delivered impressive numbers since joining Galatasaray.
So far he has registered:
• 59 goals
• 16 assists
• 74 matches played
Those numbers explain why multiple elite clubs continue monitoring his future.
Bayern Munich, Juventus, Chelsea, and Paris Saint-Germain have all been linked with strengthening their attack this summer.
The transfer will not be cheap
Any move for Osimhen would require major investment.
Galatasaray spent around €75 million to secure the striker permanently from Napoli, and the Turkish giants hold a contract running until 2029.
That leaves Barcelona facing a familiar challenge.

Before Turkey, Osimhen built his career through spells at Charleroi, Wolfsburg, Lille, and Napoli.
Internationally, he remains one of Nigeria’s biggest stars with 35 goals in 52 appearances since debuting in 2017.
