Ronald Araujo denies agreeing to a Juventus move, with his camp reaffirming his focus on recovering and contributing to Barcelona.

The future of Ronald Araujo remains uncertain, but the Uruguayan defender’s representatives have categorically denied reports claiming he has agreed to join Juventus. This comes after La Gazzetta dello Sport reported that Araujo had given the green light for a January move to the Italian giants.

Araujo, who is under contract with Barcelona until 2026, has yet to feature regularly this season due to injury. Despite his absence, Barcelona has managed well defensively, leading to speculation that the club might consider his departure in the summer.

Juventus, facing defensive injuries and seeking reinforcements, has reportedly shown strong interest in Araujo, as well as David Hancko. Italian outlets suggested that Juventus was exploring a loan move for Araujo as early as this January.

However, Sport refutes these claims, stating that Araujo’s camp has not responded to Juventus’ proposal and that the player remains committed to Barcelona. The defender’s priority is to regain form following a long-term injury. Araujo has been included in the squad for the Spanish Supercopa, with a possibility of featuring in the semifinal or final.

For now, Araujo’s focus appears to be on contributing to Barcelona’s current campaign, rather than entertaining transfer speculation.
