Bayern Munich issued an apology to PSG and president Nasser Al-Khelaïfi after fans displayed offensive banners during their Champions League clash, emphasizing the club’s commitment to respectful relations.

Bayern Munich has publicly apologized to Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) and its president, Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, following the display of offensive banners by fans during Tuesday’s Champions League match at the Allianz Arena.

In a statement published on the club's official website, Bayern expressed regret over the incident:
"During Bayern’s Champions League match, banners were displayed at the Allianz Arena targeting Paris Saint-Germain and its president, Nasser Al-Khelaïfi. Bayern would like to apologize if our opponents or their representatives felt personally attacked or offended in any way," the statement read.

The German club also clarified that the banners were not authorized and do not reflect Bayern’s values or their relationship with PSG.
"These banners were not approved by Bayern Munich and do not represent the club’s stance. They contradict the good and longstanding relationship between the two clubs and the respectful conduct Bayern cultivates with its international partners," the statement added.

The apology underscores Bayern’s commitment to fostering mutual respect and maintaining strong ties with its international peers, even amidst heated rivalries on the pitch.
