Bayern Munich players, including Harry Kane, have been slammed for celebrating in Ibiza before the Bundesliga season is officially over, sparking criticism over professionalism and timing.

Bayern Munich players are facing backlash after flying to Ibiza for a celebratory party before the 2024-25 Bundesliga season has concluded. The team, led by Harry Kane, secured the title following Bayer Leverkusen’s 2-2 draw with Freiburg on May 4 and then beat Borussia Monchengladbach 2-0 in their final home game.

The squad had initially planned a trip to Ibiza to celebrate once the title was mathematically secured, but sporting director Max Eberl had banned the trip. However, the decision was reversed after Bayern sealed the league, and manager Vincent Kompany granted the team two days off to travel.

The trip has drawn strong criticism from within Germany, particularly from Bayern legend Dietmar Hamann, who questioned the decision and its impact on the club’s reputation.

“If that was forbidden last week, then I’m not even going to ask at the championship celebrations. Why should he say yes now?” Hamann said on Sky90. “The image Bayern are currently presenting is catastrophic. It’s about the integrity of the competition – and they have not upheld it.”

While Bayern players enjoy the sun-soaked celebrations, the season is still not over. Bayern will play their final Bundesliga match against Hoffenheim this Saturday, and critics argue that such a trip sends the wrong message at a crucial moment.
