German media reports that Bayern Munich has completed the transfer of Japanese defender Hiroki Ito, who is moving to Bavaria from Stuttgart.
Bayern Munich is set to begin their squad overhaul with the defense, and if the German media reports are accurate, the team will be bolstered by two players who shone in the jerseys of Bayern's league rivals last season.
German international Jonathan Tah is expected to move from Leverkusen to Bayern, and the new member of Bayern’s squad is also set to be the 25-year-old Japanese player Hiroki Ito. Bayern is reportedly ready to pay 30 million euros in transfer fees for Ito.
Ito is a central defender who also excels as a left-back, sparking speculation in Germany about whether his arrival signals the departure of the excellent Canadian Alphonso Davies, who is being courted by Real Madrid.
Ito, for whom Stuttgart paid just half a million euros in transfer fees, will now fetch a sum 30 times higher, just three years later.
