The Bavarian machine continues to dominate domestically, having scored a record number of goals in the first eight rounds of the Bundesliga under any manager to date.
Bayern Munich had the opportunity to restore some confidence following their Champions League loss to Barcelona, and they did just that. Facing the Bundesliga's bottom-ranked team, Bochum, Bayern claimed a resounding 5-0 victory. Bochum stood no chance, as five different Bayern players found the net.
The scoring began in the 16th minute with a stunning free kick by Olise. The Bochum goalkeeper didn’t move, leaving the score at 1-0. Just ten minutes later, Jamal Musiala headed in to double the lead.
Early in the second half, Musiala provided an assist for Harry Kane, who scored from inside the penalty area to make it 3-0. A solo effort followed from Leroy Sane, who intercepted the ball in a dangerous area and finished with a precise strike for 4-0.
The fifth goal came in the 71st minute from Kingsley Coman, who surprised everyone with a beautiful shot from the edge of the penalty box, sealing a dominant 5-0 win for Bayern.
