Bayern Munich are pushing to complete several major transfers before the upcoming Club World Cup, and one of their priority targets now appears close to joining.

According to reports from Sky Germany, Bayern have reached a full verbal agreement with Nathaniel Brown, the highly rated left-back currently playing for Eintracht Frankfurt.

The 22-year-old defender, who was previously coached by Albert Riera earlier in his development, has emerged as one of the most promising young full-backs in German football.

Vincent Kompany convinced Brown

Bayern coach Vincent Kompany reportedly played an important role in moving negotiations forward. Personal conversations between coach and player are said to have convinced Brown that Allianz Arena should be his next destination.

While agreement with the player appears complete, Bayern still face difficult negotiations with Frankfurt.

Eintracht demanding up to €65 million

Eintracht Frankfurt remain in a strong negotiating position because Brown remains under contract until 2030.

Sporting director Markus Krösche reportedly wants between €60 million and €65 million for one of the club’s most valuable assets.

Talks between the clubs are ongoing, although the transfer fee currently remains the biggest obstacle to completing the deal.

World Cup call-up boosted his reputation

Brown’s rise has accelerated over the past two seasons. His performances for Frankfurt established him as one of Germany’s standout young defenders and earned him selection for the Germany national team squad for the upcoming World Cup.

Bayern are also actively working on other targets, including PSV Eindhoven midfielder Ismael Saibari, as the club looks to strengthen several areas before the new season begins.

If Bayern succeed in lowering Frankfurt’s demands, Brown could soon become one of the most expensive full-back transfers in German football history.
