Bayern Munich are pushing to extend Dayot Upamecano’s contract beyond 2026 as Real Madrid and PSG circle with serious interest in the in-form French defender.
Bayern Munich are racing against time to secure a long-term future for Dayot Upamecano, who has become one of Europe’s most sought-after defenders following a stellar season. According to Sky Germany, both Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain have approached the 27-year-old’s representatives to test the waters over a possible move.
Upamecano joined Bayern in 2021 from RB Leipzig and has developed into one of the team’s defensive leaders. His current deal runs until June 2026, which means that time is working in his favour — and in that of his suitors.
