German insider Christian Falk claims Bayern Munich continue to view Benjamin Šeško as the ideal long-term successor to Harry Kane despite the Slovenian's move to Manchester United.

Bayern Munich have no intention of parting ways with Harry Kane, but the German champions are already planning for life after their prolific striker. According to well-known German journalist Christian Falk, Benjamin Šeško remains firmly on Bayern's shortlist.
Kane is expected to stay at the Allianz Arena after entering the final year of his contract, with Bayern working on an extension. Club officials reportedly do not expect any complications, as the England captain remains one of the team's most important players.
However, Kane is now 33 years old, and Bayern are also looking further ahead. Finding a striker capable of eventually replacing him while also playing alongside him has become an important part of the club's long-term planning.
That is where Šeško continues to attract attention.
According to Falk, Bayern's interest in the Slovenian international has never disappeared, even after his move to Manchester United.
"The German champions were interested in Šeško when Vincent Kompany arrived at the club, but the player was too expensive at the time. The idea of bringing such a striker into the team is still alive."
Falk explained that Bayern currently have Ismael Saibari, who is also capable of playing in an advanced attacking role, allowing the club to assess its options during the upcoming season before deciding whether another striker is required.
"The Slovenian remains on Bayern's wish list and is an extremely interesting player for the club. Perhaps they could return to this idea if he finds it harder to establish himself in the Premier League."
According to Falk, Bayern's long-term objective is to recruit a forward who could eventually succeed Kane while also fitting into Vincent Kompany's preferred system with two central strikers.
"The plan for the future is to bring in another striker who could become Harry Kane's successor, but at the same time play alongside him. This is one of Vincent Kompany's key ideas."
For now, however, such a transfer appears highly unlikely. Manchester United spent a long time searching for a new leading striker before signing Šeško, and it is difficult to imagine the Slovenian international leaving Old Trafford after only one season, especially with United set to compete in the UEFA Champions League once again.
