Beşiktaş has increased their offer for Veljko Birmančević to €6M, but Sparta Prague is hesitant to sell. The Turkish window remains open until February 11.

Beşiktaş has emerged as the leading contender to sign Veljko Birmančević, but Sparta Prague is holding firm on their stance regarding the 26-year-old winger.

Earlier in the season, Galatasaray attempted to sign Birmančević for €10 million, but Sparta refused to let go of a key player ahead of their historic Champions League campaign. Now, with their European adventure over, Beşiktaş has stepped up negotiations, but securing a deal remains complicated.

The Turkish club initially offered €4 million, then increased the bid to €5 million, and now, according to Mozzart Sport, they have raised their proposal to €6 million. However, Sparta has yet to respond.

Money is not the only issue—Sparta struggled without Birmančević in the fall, failing to win four league matches when he was sidelined with injury.

Meanwhile, Beşiktaş has time on their side, as the Turkish transfer window remains open until February 11.

Will Sparta hold onto their star attacker, or will Beşiktaş manage to strike a deal before the deadline?
