Beşiktaş has made an offer for Veljko Birmančević, with the Serbian winger potentially becoming Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s first signing in Istanbul.
Beşiktaş has officially submitted an offer for Veljko Birmančević, with the Sparta Prague winger now in negotiations over a potential move to Istanbul. According to Fabrizio Romano, talks are underway between the two clubs.
While the exact transfer fee remains undisclosed, reports suggest it is lower than the €10 million bid from Galatasaray last summer.
The Turkish club remained quiet throughout January, focusing on finding a new head coach. Now, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in charge, attention has shifted to reinforcements, and Birmančević has emerged as a key target for the Norwegian.
The Serbian international has spent a year and a half in Prague, but many believe he has outgrown the Czech league. Despite Beşiktaş struggling for form this season, a move to Istanbul would still represent a step up in his career.
If the deal goes through, Birmančević could become Solskjaer’s first signing, marking a new chapter for both player and club.
