Leipzig's Slovenian striker Benjamin Šeško has a release clause in his contract, initially set at €50 million, which is expected to rise to between €70 to €75 million by the end of the season, making him an attainable target for several Premier League clubs.
Speculation about a release clause in the contract between
Benjamin Šeško and
RB Leipzig has been confirmed to be true.
While Leipzig does have the Slovenian national team forward under contract until 2028, the existence of a release clause, previously only speculated, means they do not have complete control over his future. Last winter, Šeško was available for €50 million, but by this summer, his price is set to increase.
According to German Sky, the minimum release clause for Benjamin Šeško is currently €65 million and could rise to €70 to €75 million by the end of the season, depending on his performance in the last two matches.
It has been reported that major clubs from the English Premier League, including Chelsea, Arsenal, and Manchester United, as well as Newcastle United, are interested in Šeško. The striker, who has scored 16 goals this season, will be available this summer for a fixed amount, a sum that poses a feasible challenge for English clubs.
