Benjamin Šeško has been voted Premier League Player of the Round after scoring twice for Manchester United against Burnley, collecting 51 percent of the votes in his first such award since joining the club.
Benjamin Šeško has received his first major individual recognition in England after being named Premier League Player of the Round following his brilliant performance for Manchester United.
The Slovenian striker scored two goals in United’s 2-2 draw against Burnley in the 21st round of the Premier League and was the standout figure of the match.
There was strong competition for the award, but Šeško’s impact proved decisive. He collected 51 percent of all votes, a clear sign of how much his performance and goals resonated with fans.
This is the first time Šeško has won the Player of the Round award since joining the club from Manchester, and it comes at a perfect moment, just as he appears to be finding his rhythm in English football.
With his two goals against Burnley, the striker from Radeče has now increased his tally to four goals this season in the Premier League.
Interestingly, this is already the sixth time this season that the Player of the Round award has gone to a Manchester United player, underlining how much attention performances at Old Trafford continue to attract — even in difficult periods.
The other nominees for the award in this round were Harvey Barnes (Newcastle), Brenden Aaronson (Leeds United), Antoine Semenyo (Bournemouth) and Harry Wilson (Fulham).
For Šeško, this recognition is more than just a trophy. It is a strong signal that his breakthrough at Manchester United may finally be underway — and that his brace against Burnley could prove to be a turning point in his season.
