A rare penalty in Serbia's football league has gone viral after Vojvodina's Seid Korać grabbed the ball with his hands, leading to an unexpected decision by the referee.
A rare and unusual penalty in Serbian football has caught global attention during the match between Vojvodina and Radnički Niš in the 10th round of the Serbian league. The incident involved Vojvodina's goalkeeper passing the ball to defender Seid Korać, who bizarrely picked it up with his hands, assuming play hadn't started.
However, the referee, Pavle Ilić, ruled the play active and quickly pointed to the penalty spot, leaving Vojvodina’s players in disbelief. Despite their protests, Ilić’s decision was in line with the rules of the game.
This rare scenario has since gone viral, providing a moment of humor in what was otherwise a routine league match.
