While receiving an award for his 15 goals in La Liga last season, Borja Mayoral’s house in Madrid caught fire.
Former Real Madrid player Borja Mayoral attended the Spanish football awards ceremony, expecting a special evening in honor of his achievements. However, a major accident occurred during the event—his house in Madrid was engulfed in flames. Fortunately, the house was empty at the time, resulting only in material damage, and firefighters managed to rescue his two dogs.
"As you may have read in the media, I had an issue at home. Thankfully, my family is safe, though we were all frightened. Thanks to everyone for your messages," shared Mayoral, now playing for Getafe.
Mayoral's partner, Flavia Natalini, expressed gratitude on Instagram to the firefighters who contained the blaze and prevented further spread.
The 27-year-old Mayoral grew up in the Real Madrid system but had limited opportunities, spending time on loan with Wolfsburg, Levante, Roma, and eventually transferring to Getafe in 2022.
