Borussia Dortmund are monitoring Tottenham winger Mikey Moore and Rosario Central defender Juan Giménez, with early talks underway for both players.
Borussia Dortmund are keeping a close watch on Tottenham Hotspur prospect Mikey Moore, as the Bundesliga club prepare for a potential shake-up in their wide attacking options. According to Florian Plettenberg, Dortmund have made initial contact with Moore’s representatives, although discussions remain at an early stage.
Moore, 17, has enjoyed growing involvement at first-team level this season, racking up 274 minutes across nine Premier League appearances, along with one goal and one assist in five Europa League outings. Despite the German side’s interest, a move within the Premier League is currently seen as more likely, with several English clubs also tracking his progress.
Dortmund’s interest comes amid uncertainty over the future of Jamie Bynoe-Gittens, who looks set to leave the club this summer. The potential departure of the England U21 international would leave a vacancy in the squad for a high-upside young winger — a profile Moore fits well.
The German club are also scouting 19-year-old Rosario Central centre-back Juan Giménez, with talks reportedly held between Dortmund and the Argentine’s representatives. Like Moore, no deal is close, but the interest signals Dortmund’s intent to bolster both ends of the pitch heading into next season.
Giménez has made four top-flight appearances in Argentina this year, and is a regular for the national U20 side, having earned 11 caps. Known for his physicality and reading of the game, he would follow in a long line of South American talents to make the jump to European football via the Bundesliga.
