Vinko Rozić is in advanced talks with Blackburn Rovers. The Bosnia U21 midfielder is also on the radar of clubs from Sweden, Switzerland, and Croatia.
Vinko Rozić, a 21-year-old midfielder and current Bosnia and Herzegovina U21 international, could be set for a major career move this summer. The rising talent, who plays for Istra 1961 in Croatia, has attracted attention from several European clubs, including Blackburn Rovers, with whom he is reportedly in advanced negotiations.
According to journalist Lorenzo Lepore, Rozić has also drawn interest from AIK Stockholm, FC Zurich, and Dinamo Zagreb, but the most concrete steps have been taken by Blackburn, the 1995 Premier League champions, who now compete in the EFL Championship.
Blackburn narrowly missed out on a playoff spot last season, finishing seventh—just two points behind sixth place. The club is expected to strengthen this summer as it aims to return to the top flight.
Rozić joined Istra in January and quickly made an impact. In the second half of the season, he featured in 17 matches across all competitions, scoring five goals and providing one assist—impressive numbers for a midfielder still developing his game.
At international level, Rozić has made two appearances for Bosnia’s U21 team, though he has yet to register a goal. His youth career began at Hajduk Split, and he has since played for Dinamo Zagreb, Široki Brijeg, Posušje, and now Istra.
If negotiations with Blackburn conclude successfully, Rozić could soon take his talents to English football—a significant step for a player whose stock continues to rise.
