Brajan Gruda leaves Mainz for Brighton in a big-money move.

Brajan Gruda, the German footballer of Albanian descent, has officially joined Brighton, the English club announced on their official website on Thursday. The 20-year-old has signed a contract with Brighton that will keep him at the club until the end of the 2027/2028 season. According to media reports, the Premier League club paid 30 million euros for his transfer.

Gruda joins the Premier League from Mainz, where he scored four goals and provided three assists in 30 league appearances last season. Before the European Championship in Germany, he was part of the expanded squad in the German national team’s preparations, but he ultimately did not make the final roster for the home tournament.

The English Premier League kicks off this weekend with a Friday night match between Manchester United and Fulham. Brighton will play their first match on Saturday at 4 PM, hosting Everton.
